About the project

The Calabro Airport North and South solar farms completed by the end of year 2019 are able to provide electricity to power over 300 homes, 24 hours a day.
In the May of 2014, the Town of Brookhaven, New York was awarded a Feed-In Tariff from PSEG Long Island for solar arrays on several Town-owned sites. The sites were selected after a review was conducted by PSEG Long Island, on behalf of LIPA to determine the likelihood of a successful project. This is part of the utility company’s multi-phase Clean Solar Initiative program designed to produce clean, renewable power for Long Island. The Renewable Energy Generating Facility is managed by Agilitas Energy LLC, who have a Power Purchase Agreement with PSEG Long Island and a Site Lease Agreement with the Town.
