Agilitas Energy closed the acquisition of a new battery energy storage project in Manchester, Maine on February 7, 2022.
The project is a 14 MW / 28 MWh standalone battery energy storage system that will connect to Central Maine Power’s power grid and participate in ISO-New England’s wholesale markets when completed. The project is currently under development and is expected to reach Notice-to-Proceed and be ready for construction in October this year.
This acquisition marks Agilitas Energy’s sixth energy storage project in Maine, three of which are operational, among the company’s total active development pipeline of over 500 MW.
Agilitas Energy is one of the first-to-market energy storage players in the northeastern U.S. and the first to bring a continuous storage facility to commercial operation in the ISO-NE control area.
